Juliusz Słowacki Theatre

Theatre is situated at Świętego Ducha Square 1. It is an important Krakow theater, which owes its name to the Polish poet and bard - Juliusz Słowacki. It works continuously since 1893. It is one of the most famous and most distinguished Polish scene. Inside you can admire, among others, curtain by Henryk Siemieradzkiego.

The main stage of the theater is able to gether 530 spactators. It also has a stylish, representative foyer and a large backstage facilities.

The historic Theatre building was officially opened at October 21th, 1893 year. The building was built in eclectic style, it is inspired by Garnier Opera in Paris and Vienna State Opera. Theatre building was the first building in Kraków, which had a power plant, which supplies electricity in the building.
