Access to Krakow

ACCESS TO KRAKOW

Krakow is located 300 km south of Warsaw.

ARRIVING BY AIR
John Paul II International Airport Krakow-Balice
Krakow has direct airline connections with most European cities. The easiest way to get to town from Balice Airport is by a taxi. There are also buses number 208, 292 which go to the city centre from the Airport. There is also Katowice-Pyrzowice Airport about 100 km far from Krakow. There are regular bus connections between this airport and Krakow (every 1,5h, the ticket costs about 50 PLN).

ARRIVING BY CAR
The A4 motorway, via Wroclaw and Katowice, leads straight to Krakow from the west of Europe. Three traffic restriction zones (A, B, C) are obligatory in the city. It is necessary to pay parking fees within these three zones. Most of the hotels proposed for accommodation are situated in zone A or B.

ARRIVING BY TRAIN
The main railway station (Dworzec Główny) is situated in the very center of the city. There is a good train connection between Warszawa and Krakow (express or Inter City trains go every hour during the day, the journey takes less than 3 hours). Krakow has direct train connections with: Berlin, Bucarest, Budapest, Kiev, Odessa, Prague, Vienna.
